Thought of the Day- There are many hardships taking place on the earth right now and people are suffering. This has shown us that things totally outside of our control can change very quickly and leave us feeling helpless if we don’t have a firm foundation in Christ Jesus and if we don’t have the proper perspective. We have no control over external circumstances and our joy cannot be based on things that are circumstantial. In fact, one of the only things we can control is our attitude and even when times are tough, we need to always count our blessings and not our problems. This helps us remember that when we make God rightfully big in our lives, the God of Genesis 1, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, then all our problems seem really small. But when we allow satan to invert our relationship with God so when we, out of pride, feel like we are in control then we make God very small, and all of our problems seem very big. And they should because we are so limited in our vision and our power to change circumstances that are out of our control anyway. Perspective is required in our spiritual battles with the enemy. We must always remember: God has the most power in the Universe and we are victorious in God through Christ Jesus.
