Application of God’s Word in your Life for Maximum Impact

Ephesians 6:10-12 | NIV

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

We live in a busy world where time is always at a premium. My faith walk taught me the importance of carving out time for God, in both reading the scriptures and praying. However, I learned quickly that knowledge without application is at best incomplete and possibly even worthless. One of the things I really struggled with was learning how to take what I read in the Bible and apply it to my life in a practical manner that could lead to life altering results. I prayed for God to help me in this struggle and He began to teach me. Below are some of the things he taught me that have led to big changes for the better in my life and I wanted to share them with you in hopes they would provide the same outcomes. Be honest with yourselves, this takes time. This takes intentionalality, you must be willing to put God on your “to do” list and eventually hopefully elevate Him to the top of your “to do” list. And most of all, this takes prayer! God will honor your faith and commitment to Him, no matter how small or feeble it may feel. Take a first step towards God with your heart and see what He will do in your life.
