Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Insight: Sometimes I find myself caught in a trap of endless anxiety, brought on by a never ending flow of information, much of which I wish I had never seen. We can get so inundated with information and mostly bad news that it can affect our overall mood and energy level. I have started to turn to immersing myself in scripture as a powerful tool to recalibrate my emotions and to focus on the eternal nature of God and His Kingdom as a way to lift me out of the fog and instead focus on His glorious promises. This is quite an elixir for the soul. Here are just a few scriptures that I was focused on today, that had a great impact on me and served as a real mood elevator. Sometimes, we simply need to read and meditate on Scripture and let God do the rest. Sometimes, we simply need to recalibrate our thoughts and attention! So here it goes. I hope it impacts you like it did me. Here are a few verses that speak to the power and the glory of the One true God.
“I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.”- Psalm 63:2
“He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”- Daniel 7:14
“At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.”- Mark 13:26
“If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”- 1 Peter 4:11
“to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.”- Jude 1:25
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”- Revelation 4:11

Prayer: Father God, Your Kingdom is eternal and it will never end, spoil or fade. All of this stuff we have to deal with in this broken world is temporary, but You have all the power and glory. You alone deserve all praise. Help us to fix our eyes on You Lord. Amen!
