Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.
Scripture- “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”- John 8:12Insight: When the world seems very dark, as it is right now and as it was when Jesus walked the earth under Roman rule, full of corruption, anger, lust, greed and hatred, the Light of God through Jesus can shine even brighter in His followers. It can illuminate in the darkness and draw people out into the light. As followers of Christ, when it is darkest is not a time to retreat, but a time to be bolder and shine brighter. To love in the face of hatred, to be generous when everyone else is hoarding, to be thankful when everyone else is angry, to be grateful when others are complaining. This is what we are called to as believers and this is what changes the narrative. Just like in a pitch black room if one person lights a candle, the light breaks through the darkness, the same is true for one person who steps out in radical faith to do something that is so counter to the narrative of the oppressive media that it changes everything. Speak truth into lies, stand for righteousness and morality in the face of an immoral media seeking to destroy our children, stand for unity over division. Let your light shine for all to see, and the darkness will be destroyed. Jesus said to His followers in Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” Yes, the world can seem dark right now and the media is full of lies, propaganda and corruption and is the true enemy of the people, but the Light of Christ devours the darkness as day destroys the night.
