Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.
Scripture- “But I trust in you, Lord; I say, “You are my God.”- Psalm 31:14
Insight: We all would agree that the last 12 months have been challenging to say the least. The global pandemic has left the world shaken, and many things feel more unstable than ever before. Our kids’ schooling has been turned upside down, and all of our nerves are frayed. There is only one truth that has kept my family strong and that is the little saying “but God.” But God gets the last word. But God always keeps His promises. But God can create miracles and restore hope. But God can create new paths in the wilderness when there doesn’t seem to be a way. But God is greater than all of our troubles. But God is a strong fortress and a mighty tower. But God is omniscient, omnipresent and omnipotent. But God is the Creator of the entire Universe and nothing that is happening on earth is a surprise to Him. And the most important of all to us over the last year is but God loves us and He will never leave us or forsake us. We have relied more on our “but God” faith than maybe ever before and it has carried us through when we lacked strength or hope during the trials of the last year. What has been your but God moment of truth you have relied on? Yes, the last year has been very hard, but God has always provided for our needs and He is the same yesterday, today and forever. On that we can depend on, even when everything else seems to be slipping away.
