Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Scripture- “But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong;- 1 Corinthians 1:27

Insight: I love this scripture above because it reminds me of how God always works His perfect plan in a way that confounds the so-called “wise” people of the world. God makes a mockery sometimes of our understanding, or thinking we know how things should work. He constantly is reminding us that we are not as wise or as strong as we think we are.  I have been reminded of this a lot lately, mostly around thinking I knew the way things should or were going to work out around our Country’s future and what the road map ahead would look like. I had all this information woven into a story that made sense to me. Boy have I been wrong. It makes me remember the scripture above and also Isaiah 55:8-9 that says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

I must never forget God’s Kingdom and Jesus’s ways are so different than my own. Jesus had no time for what the world considered to be powerful or prestigious. Jesus was after souls, not wealth, titles or positions. Many Governments in the world today are still filled with tyranny and oppression. Jesus never got into politics, for He had a much larger mission to fulfill. I am so thankful that Jesus was more focused on populating Heaven with eternal souls than he was on worrying about the next election cycle. His Kingdom is permanent, everlasting and unshakable. Until he comes to reign on Earth again for eternity, we can rest assured that the plans and ideas of wise men will be foiled by divine acts of his “foolish” and “weak” servants.
