Insight- – Who do you trust: the media or the Bible? This is a question that is becoming more significant by the day. We can choose to spend our time and attention on the deceitfulness and deception of the media, or we can spend it pursuing the life altering truth found in the Holy Bible. We live in a Post- Modern World where people like to say things like “well your truth, is not my truth,” and that is all well and good, except for one caveat: There is only one Absolute Truth and that is God’s Word found in the Bible. It is not simply words on a page, but as the scripture above from 2 Timothy 3:16 alludes to, it is God’s breath on a page. What does that mean? It means that God used His prized possession, mankind as His tool, and He inspired them to write His divine prophecy onto the pages of the Bible. The Bible is a compilation of 66 books, written by over 40 authors from 3 different continents and spanning at least 1500 years and it has perfect symmetry and cohesion. That would be literally impossible if it were not inspired by the Hands of God himself. So turn off the noise of the media and turn into the eternal truth of God’s word found in the Bible. It is a treasure of greater value than anything else that exists in this world, for it holds the keys to wisdom that makes this life come alive with His promises and purposes which leads to total contentment, even in the midst of a global pandemic.
