Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.
Scripture – “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17
Thought of the day- Only God can offer a solution to what plagues us and the sin the world is so ensconced in right now. Neither the global pandemic or the inequality that has plagued the earth for thousands of years can be fixed by man or a Political Party. No economic or political system has ever provided a complete answer to deal with the injustice, corruption, greed and oppression that is rampant on earth. Luckily, God knew this about the rebellious nature of humanity and He already had a solution in place that could once and for all pay the price for all of man’s sin and it was His Son Jesus, whom God sent to earth as a lifeline to rescue us. Jesus took the weight of our collective sin on His body on the Cross and paid our sin tab in full. There is nothing else owed for those who agree to call on the name of Jesus as Lord and Savior. In John 11:25-26 Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?” This is the single most important question that every single person who walks on this earth will have to answer: “Do you believe this?” God did not provide a 2nd option. Jesus is the only way to Heaven. John 14:6 confirms this: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” In His amazing love and grace for a fallen and sin marred world, God paid a huge price to redeem us back to Himself. Do you see the beauty and incomprehensible love in what Jesus did to save us?
You can look around at what’s happening right now on planet earth and get very depressed. The world seems to be sinking into the sin marred abyss that we have dug for ourselves at an alarmingly fast rate. God promises in His word that He will one day set up a whole new system on earth that is not subject to decay and brokenness like the current one. It won’t rely on Political Systems or the failed wisdom of man. It is established in Heaven and One Day God will bring it down to Earth. But only those who believed in Christ will enjoy it. You don’t want to be left behind on this one. When the clock hits zero, there are no second chances. Revelation 21:1-5 speaks to it below. It is how God wanted us to live in the first place, but in our rebellion and wickedness we blew it. You want to enjoy the world where justice rules and peace reigns? Then be sure you are on the train when the King comes in all His glory! “Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
