Thought of the Day- We live in a time where it is so easy to criticize people without facts, where anyone can say anything they want and then hide behind a façade of social media platforms. People today openly mock God and call evil things good, and good things evil. Isaiah warned people some 2700 years ago not to do that when he proclaimed in Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” But there will come a day for all people when their opinions will no longer matter. The only opinion that will matter is God’s. This will not be optional as Romans 14:11 says “It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.” At that moment, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and every other social media platform yet to be created will be rendered totally meaningless.
The world is in turmoil right now. There is gridlock and chaos all around Politics, Government, Sports Leagues, Universities, Families and on and on it goes. The media is being used by satan to deceive, distract, divide and destroy lives and our Country. Facts get overwhelmed by the noise of the mob when the facts don’t fit the narrative the media wants to portray in their selective moral outrage. Where’s the outrage over the 1 million unborn babies being slaughtered every year by Planned Parenthood? Where’s the outrage for the just retired Black Police Officer in Missouri who was slain by looters and rioters while trying to help protect a friend’s store? Those stories don’t fit the political narrative of the day, so they don’t get the media’s attention. One day though Jesus will get the last say on justice on this earth. Ratings and money will no longer be the driving force. It will be purely based on whether you accepted or rejected His Lordship in your life. God expects His people to be strong and bold during these difficult times. Unfortunately, many are turning away from God at just the wrong time due to societal pressure and attacks from the enemy. But there is only One who can give people the affirmation and peace they long for, and his name is Jesus. To quote from Joshua 24:15 “But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
