Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Scripture-  “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.- 2 Chronicles 7:14

Thought of the Day- In the Bible there are many conditional promises that God makes to His followers. They require action first on the part of the followers before God will act. If they take a first step, then He will do something as a result of their faithfulness. The verse above seems perfect for the times we are living in right now in America. We have turned our back on the living God who has so richly blessed this Nation, and the result is weightlessness as everyone tries to define their own “god.” We have removed God from our schools, from our marketplace, from our media and largely from our culture. How is that working out for us? I feel like God is waiting for us to turn back to Him, to invite Him back into his rightful place at the center of our society, like the many times the Israelites came running back after they had tried to do life in their own way, only to find out it didn’t go so well. He gives us the conditions before He will consider any action of His own.

We must “humble ourselves (come down from our high horse and repent of our sin) and pray (ask for His forgiveness and to help us fix what we have broken and to not leave us alone) and seek His face (earnestly realize that He alone is to be worshiped and everything else is shifting sand) and turn from our wicked ways (stop being so prideful and rebellious in thinking we don’t need God in our lives and repent) and then He will hear from heaven and forgive our sin and heal our land.” The America I knew growing up is under assault. Only God can save us. We need to realize the urgency of our situation and desperately seek Him to restore the Judeo-Christian values that we were founded on and that made us great. We once were a “shiny city on a hill,” as Ronald Reagan said, and now because of our prideful rebellion against the One who made us great we are in danger of becoming a toxic waste dump. Please Lord hear our prayers and restore our land before it is too late and the sun sets on this once great Nation. We are desperate for you. Please don’t let politics create such animosity between people and please hamper the media’s attempts to divide us for their own ratings and financial gain. May God-fearing people create media outlets and agencies blessed by You, that promote unity and the peace, hope and love that our Country and this world so desperately needs.
