Scripture- “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.”- 1 John 1:8-10
Thought of the Day- There are problems raging all throughout our land today, and everyone is trying to say who is at fault. But we must realize that the symptoms we are seeing play out on the screens of our modern life are all the result of one main thing and that is SIN! Sin has so ravaged our world, that people are fighting against each other without even realizing how much we are all in the same boat. The real battle is not between cops and blacks, whites, browns, red, yellows or blacks, gay vs straight, male vs female, country vs city; the real battle is between God and satan. Ephesians 6:12 says it succinctly: “or our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”.
The battle is for each and every soul on this planet. Make no mistake, it is getting fiercer as we are experiencing the birth pains of Christ’s return and the enemy knows his time is growing shorter. Matthew 24:8-9 puts it this way and it is very clear: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
We are being played like fiddles right now by the enemy of our souls who has infiltrated the media (Ephesians 2:2) and is using it to deceive, distract, divide and destroy us. America has lots of problems, but so does every other Country on the earth and throughout the history of the earth, Nations will rise and fall, as a result of sin! Sin destroys lives and ravages Countries. Sin is dealt with individually, but the ramifications are felt collectively. This is earth, not Heaven and we are living in a broken world! America is still the Country that most people want to come to, because of our liberties and freedoms it offers that don’t exist in many other Countries. But if we don’t repent of our own sins, and turn to God for revival, we will soon end up in the scrap heap of history of other countries who were destroyed from within by turning their back on the One who alone can heal our land.
