Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Scripture: “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.”- Psalm 19;1-2

Insight: We can learn so much from the Biblical Heroes like King David, who is the only person in the Bible ever referred to as “a man after God’s own heart,” Acts 13:22. God led David through a myriad of different circumstances that tested his faith, grew him, challenged him and led him to become the greatest King of Israel and the human bloodline out of which Jesus himself was born. Therefore, we just should pay close attention to the life of David recorded in the Bible and try to learn as much as we can from him and apply it to our lives in a practical way. We will study some of the Scriptures over the next 30 days that David wrote and see how his life is a great teaching moment for us today. David wrote half of the Psalms, which serve as a journal for his faith walk with the Lord.

One thing about David that I really admire is how much he was always aware and blown away by the majesty of God’s Creation. He knew that the Universe was the result of an intricate and perfect design by the Master Creator that held everything up in its perfect place and that reflected His incredible power. As humans, we should never grow tired or weary from being blown away by our awesome Creator and by the work of His hands. All we need to do is to look into the night sky on a clear, crisp night or through a telescope to see the celestial magnificence of what God has created. The fact that nothing is an accident and everything was created by the work of a Master Creator, who holds everything in place and in the palm of His hand should never not be amazing. The fact that planets aren’t crashing into each other, and that we are not being destroyed by being too close or too far away from the Sun is reason to be in awe of God’s perfect design by itself. David took lots of time to reflect on and to find amazement in God’s glorious creation. This is something that we know brought him alignment in his relationship with who God was and who David was. To be in awe of an Omnipotent God is another way of worshiping Him. David got this right and so should we. It’s as simple as noticing what is all around us in nature and in the sky and taking time to praise the One who created it all.

Prayer: Father God, let us never forget that You are the Master Creator who put all things in place in your perfect design. Nature, the Moon and the Stars, the Planets all sing your praises day and night. If the Stars were made to worship, then so should we, We pray in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
