Scripture – At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more” I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens. The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:26-28

Thought – Are we putting our hope in things that can be shaken, because to quote Jerry Lee Lewis there appears to be “a whole lotta shaking goin on” right now. Therefore, we must put our hope in God’s Kingdom which can not be shaken and which lasts for all of eternity.

Prayer – Father God, help us to fix our eyes on you and your Kingdom when we are fearful, as your Kingdom is the only really solid thing in this world. It is the only thing that cannot be shaken.
