Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.
Scripture- “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-24
Insight: I find it fascinating how the media keeps hyping up individual politicians who fit their ideological belief system in a way that they pretend they will be some sort of messiah to save the world, when in fact the real Messiah has already come and if we would just follow what He preached and taught, none of the problems we have would exist today. Let’s get it straight: no Politician is going to solve global hunger, or the anger of the heart that leads to violence and war, or the sin that so easily entangles us and leads to all kinds of evil outcomes. These are spiritual battles that are far above any Politician’s pay grade as Ephesians 6:12 states “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
We must understand that Politicians, even with the best and most honorable of intentions, are just flawed human beings like you and me. They don’t possess the power to fight the battles that are really at the center of all the destruction we see all around us, as families, cities and countries are torn apart by the ravages of sin. We must put our trust in God alone and tap into His power which does have the ability to make a big difference in the world, no matter how small or feeble our acts of faith seem at any given time. One small pebble of faith thrown can lead to a Tsunami of effect with God’s power and energy behind it. Stop waiting on politicians to fix what ails us and you will save yourself a lot of time, wasted energy and heartache. Instead, turn to God and ask Him to use the same power that “raised Jesus from the grave” that is now available to us mere mortals, through the Holy Spirit, according to John 14:12 for those of us who call Christ our Lord and Savior. There is enough money to solve hunger on earth. The top 8 richest people have more wealth than the poorest 3 Billion people on earth. What we need is people empowered by the Holy Spirit to make it their mission to solve these issues by imploring the wealthy to help those less fortunate, not wait on a flawed politician who is caught up in a bigger struggle of power and greed that will always limit their effectiveness. Act now in the power of the Holy Spirit, because Politicians aren’t coming to the rescue. In fact, in many cases, they are the problem and not the solution.
