Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Scripture- “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”- 1 John 4:8

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”- 1 John 4:10

“No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”- 1 John 4:12

Insight: We live in times of noise and distraction where if we are not careful, it is so easy to get swept away into the anti-God vortex we are currently living in, that as Christians we can feel lost in the world. Almost all media today is set up against God and filled with a demonic spirit of human pride, where humans think they have all the answers needed in order to survive some of the huge challenges currently facing humanity. For these times, we must depend on Scriptural Truth more than ever as the antidote to the false messaging of the media, and we must know how to practically apply the lessons from the Bible in order to not only survive but to thrive in these times.

Today I was praying as I was reading Scripture about how important it is to speak certain attributes of God over our lives in order to keep us grounded and focused, and strong in His presence. One of the very areas we must always remember to find our firm footing in the Lord is that He is love! He loves us more than we often remember or can imagine, and thankfully for us, His love is not fickle like ours. God’s love is among other things: unending, unchanging, long-suffering, patient, steadfast, not circumstantial, deep, wide and resilient. God’s love is all encompassing, it is all knowing and it seeks the best for us. It may not always feel that way, but one thing we must always return to in our thoughts is that God is for us, He is never against us, and if He allows something in our life than because He is love, it is always for our good, even if we don’t realize it at first.

We try to run from God, hide from God, escape from God’s protection and provision over our life. But He never does that to us. He is always there for us, always constant and he “never leaves us or forsakes us,” as Hebrews 13:5 promises. Therefore, God’s love is critically important for us to learn to apply to the real areas of our life when we are filled with dread, weariness, trepidation or just fully unsure of how to proceed. If there is one thing in this world that we can always count on, and rely upon, it is that God loves us so much more than we ever know. He knows everything about us, as Psalm 139 mentions, because He was there when we formed in our mother’s womb. He knows everything about us. That love is what can hold us together and set us free during the storms of this world, but we need to apply it to our lives by speaking it into existence in order to benefit from it in our time of greatest need.

Prayer: Father God, thank You that You are love! You very nature is to love your people and your Creation, and one day You promise to come clean everything up in this broken world, and restore and renew all that has been broken and lost, and because we are Yours, we will be part of your Eternal Kingdom forever, where there will be no more tears or crying or pain or death, for You will wipe away all of our tears. Amen!
