What do you do when you’re 37 years old, you have everything the World says should make you happy, but you aren’t? God allowed me to experience career and material success so I could realize that was not the answer to the emptiness I was feeling. Do you just continue to pretend, to go through the motions like everything is ok when deep in your soul you know it’s not? Well, I did for a while but then I realized I couldn’t trick my own soul, so I had to admit something was missing, and I began to search for answers. As it turns out, the answer was waiting for me right around the corner from my house. I had never been to a church in my life, but one day when my neighbor invited me and I went, the Pastor was on stage preaching, but Jesus was tugging at my heart. I had never opened a Bible in my life, but I remember reading Matthew 7:7 and it said “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” So, I did! I asked, I knocked, and I sought truth and what I found changed my life. God showed me how to be content in this life. It is my desire to share that with you. Our World is hurting, the media is full of negativity and divisiveness and I want to offer a counter-narrative to that. One based on love, healing, grace, hope, forgiveness and generosity.  Matthew 5:9 says “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God.” I think we can all agree the world needs more peacemakers right now.
