Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.
Scripture- “ For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.”- 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Insight: Here’s an inconvenient truth: There are moments in each of our lives where we try to play God. We simply wrestle control away from Him and try to take matters into our own hands. I have found that this doesn’t usually work out very well. How about you? In our never ending pride, we want to flee from any perceived restrictions we feel God places on our lives, and try to live “free,” and on our own terms. We create our own version of God and try to mold Him into accepting terms that we feel are more favorable to us. But of course God’s terms are unchanging, and are always there to protect us, as every action has consequences, and so many times our desires to play God end up in a pile of rubble, because “God cannot be mocked, and whatever we sow, that shall we also reap” as Galatians 6:7 reminds us.
Today however, it appears we are living in an age where this type of willful defiance of God is not only intensifying but also accelerating. You see it with hew religions, which are not religions at all, and movements popping up all over the place trying to redefine God more into their liking, which usually means a God who allows all kinds of sinful behaviors without consequences, or a need for repentance. In other words, a God who’s system of justice is defined by them, and not by God, as if Jesus’s work on the Cross wasn’t complete and sufficient. For those of us who follow the real Gospel of Jesus of the Bible, which is the inerrant word of God, we shouldn’t be too surprised because 2 Timothy 4:3-4 above tells us that this would happen. It is just another sign that we are progressing rapidly towards the other prophetic times that the Bible says must happen, the next of which could be the rapture of God’s Ecclesia- His remnant church on the earth, that hasn’t compromised or bowed down to cultural pressures.
Prayer: Father God, thank You for Your Son jesus and for the one and only Gospel, which cannot be changed or altered no matter how much people are trying to create You in a way that is more suitable to their evil desires. We praise You for the truth of your word and how it is the only trustworthy roadmap for our lives. Amen!
