Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Scripture – “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

Thought – Anything that ends in “holic” is bad for us, as it shows how out of alignment  our life is. It could be workaholic, alcoholic, sexaholic or any other “holic.” We need to put God first in all things, and then we will gain balance in our lives. The scripture above promises we will find God when we “seek him with all of our heart.” That means He is first in our lives. That means we desire a relationship with Him above all else. That means He is the first thing we think about when we wake up and the last thing we think about when we go to sleep. He is the provider of all wisdom, peace and tranquility. Why would we turn anywhere else? I think it’s because we don’t like the idea that we need to depend on some other “Being” to make ourselves feel complete. It could be we suffer from one other significant illness- “Prideaholic” Our pride is what can separate us from seeking God with all of our heart. But this is foolishness 101. In fact, our pride is the devil’s playground. It is when and where we are most vulnerable, and susceptible to destruction. It is what puffs us up thinking we can do this thing called life on our own, that we don’t need God. That is only for weak people. How foolish! God wants to give you a life full of abundance ( John 10:10 ) that is greater than anything we could ever dream of or imagine. ( Ephesians 3:20) If your life is not what you hoped it would be, or if you are being crushed under the weight of sin, anxiety or despair, try seeking God with all your heart. He promises if you do you will find Him. What do you have to lose?
