Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.
Scripture- “Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”- Genesis 1:26-27
Thought of the Day- What are we doing to each other? How have we gotten so far away from the commandment that God has given us to love one another? 1 Peter 3:8 says “Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.” I think God must be in Heaven weeping right now over His prized Creation. We are supposed to bring Him glory with our love for one another, and instead we bring anger, hatred and violence. We are all created equal, yet we treat each other with scorn and ridicule. The weight of our sin is suffocating the love of God right out of us. Let’s use this moment of intense pain and sorrow and hardship in our Country and in our world, and turn it for good by returning to God.
Most great acts of God appeared historically when all the odds were stacked against us, but some courageous people stepped up to lead through prayer and repentance. 2 Chronicles 7:14 is what our Country needs most right now, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” The battle we are in is not between political parties, genders, cops vs citizens, or anything else we can imagine. It is between God and satan. We need to pray for a mighty act of God to heal our brokenness and depravity. We have gotten what we deserve when we removed God from His rightful place at the center of our society and world: Chaos! Or Lord, heal our hearts through our repentance, admitting how wrong we have gotten things be trying to play God instead of following you Lord, and then heal our land! We pray this is the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
