Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Scripture- “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”- Lamentations 3:22-26

Insight: It is so hard sometimes to wait on the Lord – but many times I have found this is the great test of our lives where He asks us a simple question: Do you trust me? Many times in my impatience and through my actions my answer is really “no, I don’t trust you” even if my mouth says otherwise. This is how He has taught me more and more How to trust Him- by making me wait while He teaches me valuable lessons and new skills. Now, I am much more apt to say “Yes I trust you “ and mean it, because He has taught me the value of patience and valuable lessons during the wait! That is where my faith has grown the most!

God made David wait 13 years until He became King from the time He was anointed. I needed that perspective today as I have been waiting for something as well for a long time- but I have now realized how much He has grown my faith through the wait! His ways are so much higher than ours- Proverbs 55:8-9. Trust Him even when it is hard or you can’t see Him moving, for He surely never stops working for us behind the scenes. His answer is many times not yet, and we think He has answered no. It may just be that we are learning new things and a different perspective during the wait that will make us even more effective when His “yes’ comes.
