Weather report from heaven: Sunny and bright with an abundance of light, and lots of singing and rejoicing
Scripture- “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.”- Genesis 50:20
Insight: As we continue our series on understanding the times we are living in, we must always remember who really is in control, and what His ultimate plans are. You see, God’s purposes are often at odds with our purposes or cause massive confusion based on our limited understanding. Do you think Joseph understood what God was doing to work all things out for the saving of many souls while he was being falsely accused by Potiphar’s wife ( Genesis 39:17 ) or while he was subsequently in an Egyptian prison for 13 years after being wrongly accused? No! He was most likely utterly confused. Many times in fact confusion is part of God’s plan to get us to surrender our life and our ways over to Him so He can accomplish His plans through us, because in all things, God is working to save as many souls as possible for inclusion into His Eternal Kingdom, as alluded to in Genesis 50:20 above. While we as mere humans may not always understand His methods, as Isaiah 55:8-9 speaks to how much higher His ways are than our ways, we can always trust His motives are 100% pure. God is love ( 1 John 4:8 ) and God is righteous ( Romans 1:17 ) and God showed us how much He loved us by sending His Son Jesus to die on the Cross for forgiveness of our sins, ( John 3:16 ) not to condemn us ( John 3:17 ) but that through Him we could reconciled back to God forever. ( Romans 5:10 & 2 Corinthians 5:18 )
The truth is in most circumstances if we understood God’s ultimate plans, we may not go along with them because the cost would seem too high. Would Joseph have agreed to be sold into slavery by his brothers ( Genesis 37:28 ) or falsely accused, or put into and Egyptian Prison on his own accord in order to save many souls? So, we must acknowledge God’s sovereignty and die to our understanding in order to be used by God for His Kingdom purposes. One of the ways we can help people is to surrender to the Holy Spirit to such a degree that we can be a teacher to help people understand the times we are living in. Today, we are witnessing an attempted hostile takeover of the authority of God by a group of global elites who are trying to impose their godless utopian vision for the earth upon humanity through the combination of using technology and global organizations such as the United Nations, World Economic Forum, and World Health Organization to significantly reduce individual freedoms and gain control. They are making issues like Climate Change a way to initiate change in order to gain more power. The earth has been around for over 8 Billion years, It has seen Meteors crash into it, wiping out the Dinosaurs. It has been covered in Ice for millions of years ( wonder what the elites would have been saying then if CNN was covering that event? Maybe something like “it’s really, really cold on the earth right now. We could sure use from Fluoro Carbons right about now. ) You see, it is not physical earth that is going away, it is man that is going away because of our sin and rejection of God’s authority. This is just the latest attempt at rebellion against God’s authority by a coordinated group of godless people, but it is not unique to human history. It is however, very sinister in its deception and very potent due to the exploitation available through the widespread use of technology throughout the world. It is possible for fear to be used as a weapon of mass destruction on a global level for the very first time. But like every other attempt to usurp God’s authority, it will fail because nothing can stand up to God and His plan to redeem humanity through his Son. What people are intending for evil, God will somehow use it for good, the saving of many souls. As confusion and fear rise, so will many people’s desire to know God for maybe the first time, and as always He will be waiting for them, arms wide open in love, saying welcome Home my dear children. I have been waiting for you for a very long time.
Prayer: Father God, thank You that we can always trust in Your Eternal Kingdom plan, which nothing can stop. Thank You for saving us through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus while we were yet still sinners, as Romans 5:8 says. Amen!
