Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.
Scripture- “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.”-Psalm 150:6
Insight: I try to be so aware of all of the beauty around me that is constantly praising the Lord in all of its splendor. The Mountains covered with snow, the ocean white with foam, the flowers and trees and animals running around in them. It is all a glorious testament to the beauty He has created for us to enjoy. But often I am so distracted I can miss what is right in front of me.
I think the whole world right now is in need of a deep breath. Just breathe! Let go of the craziness and the news and the instantaneous dissemination of information, and just breathe! Take time out to give thanks for the beauty that is all around us. Take time to remember simpler times, when we put family, friends and good times in front of political views or issues that divide us. God has given us plenty for us to praise Him for and with. Let us praise Him with our lives and with thankful hearts that take time to consciously praise Him for the beauty all around us. He alone is worthy of our praise.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, we thank You for all You have given us. Help us to focus on the beauty that is all around us, and not on all the things that are coursing through the airwaves that divide us. Amen!
