Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright, with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Scripture- “I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.”- 1Corinthians 1:10

Insight: It is so sad to see what has happened to our Country because of politics. Politics has become way overemphasized in our world. The media focuses on it 24/7/365. It is on almost every channel. It is exhausting. It divides us. It antagonizes us. We have forgotten that we are all in this together. We need one another. We were made to love one another. We don’t necessarily need to see eye to eye in order to still walk arm in arm. Mark 3:25 says, “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.”. That is where America is in 2020. We are on the verge of collapse. Why? Because we have replaced God with Government. We have removed God from the center of our society and now we are experiencing the weightlessness that occurs as a result. In our false humanism, we have believed satan’s lie that we can fix all of our problems. That is a great deception. We should never put our hope in man instead of God. No Politician can save us. God is all about love and unity. Politics is all about division. The media is only serving as an antagonist to further divide us. They only confirm our biases, and biases make us fools. They make us bad listeners to other points of view. James 1:19-20 says, “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,  because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” But the media promotes the opposite view, screaming above and at one another rather than listening and hearing one another. We have even created platforms that give the most angry and hateful an equal commentary. The media decides what noise to elevate, and in man cases it elevates the most despicable elements of humanity at the expense of civility and positive discourse. God’s still, small voice of love and unity gets drowned out in the sea of hostility. We as a Nation must turn off the noise of hostility and return to the God of unity if we are to survive.
