Weather Report From Heaven: Sunny and bright with an abundance of light and lots of singing and rejoicing.

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me.”- John 10:14
Insight: As Christians, we are all called to be good shepherd’s of the flock that Jesus has entrusted us with. We all have flocks, and they vary greatly from person to person and even from time to time. Our flocks will always include our children, but at various times it might be our parents as they age, a neighbor, a ministry we are a part of or in charge of, a sports team we coach, a group we teach. The list of possible flocks God will entrust to us to care for at various times is endless, but the one constant is God expects us to be good shepherds to whomever He calls us to. A flock may be 1 person and 1 animal, or it could be a bunch or people or a bunch of animals we are to care for. It may be a company we own. It could be a town or a village or a neighborhood God wants us to witness to. Whatever your flock looks like for you, we should all have the mindset of Colossians 3:23 which instructs us “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” God has supernaturally ordained each of us to be the shepherd of our flocks that He entrusts us with. We need to take our responsibility seriously so as to please the Lord.
Prayer: Lord God, help me to see everyone you bring into my life as part of the flock that you expect me to care for. Give me the strength and the wisdom to do it well. In Jesus name.
