Weather report from : Sunny and bright with an abundance of light, and lots of singing and rejoicing.

Scripture- “This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”- Matthew 26:28

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace”- Ephesians 1:7

Insight: As I have been writing the last few days, if you’re at all like me it may be harder for you to receive a gift than it is to provide a gift. However, I think there is one gift that God gives us that we must embrace above all others if we are to escape from our bondage to sin, and that is His forgiveness. The simple truth is many people forgive others but can’t forgive themselves for their past mistakes, so they live in a self-perpetuating bondage where they are forced to relive the terrible consequences of those past mistakes over and over again. There is one thing that is unequivocally true when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior and that is that He forgives us of all of our sins past, present and future. He died a gruesome death through crucifixion to take the sins of the entirety of humanity on His shoulders so that by His atoning sacrifice we could be set free. He paid our sin tab in full, and there is no balance due.

Some people say to me that they’ve done too much wrong in their lives, and there is no way God could ever forgive them. I say hogwash! That is nothing more than self-agonized remorse. The Bible is definitive in that Jesus came to die for our sins, and to save sinners from the wrath their sins rightfully deserved. His forgiveness is the greatest and most liberating gift we can ever receive. Don’t lament it, receive it with great joy and be set free. He already knows your past sins and even the ones that you still haven’t even committed yet, and He still chooses to love You and forgive you totally and completely. Hallelujah we’re free!

Prayer: Father God, thank You that You through Jesus You have forgiven us of all our sins past, present and future. Jesus has rescued us and we are free. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Amen!
